New Trailer in the Works – Part 10

Started working on the trailer deck today since the lumber was delivered! Took time to center it carefully on the trailer frame. Clamped it into position, then crawled underneath and marked all the holes and frame rails for drilling and routing.

Since the trailer frame isn’t totally flat because the frame rails sit inside the side rails, I decided to rout the edges of the plywood so they would sit flat. Otherwise they would have a tendency to bow up. (You can actually see this happening on the top photo, especially if you click on it to see the larger image.)

I followed that up with a coat of Australian Timber Oil on the bottom. Let it dry, take a break, think about things….
