A rainy day, good to be in barn working on small, but time consuming trailer parts. I have six heavy duty D-Rings for tying down things in the trailer. Needed some good support for the back side so they don’t just pull out if someone cranks down on the strap/chain.
I hunted up enough pieces of 3/16″ strap to make some backing plates.
Layed them out, drilled them all. Hopefully, this with the 3/8″ carriage bolts will be strong enough for anything that takes a ride in the trailer.
I also started to work on the trailer sides. First cutting 2×4 to 32″ long, beveled the ends, then threw some primer on them.
