Another door on the “Red Barn” was in need of a little (lot?) bit of attention.
It’s really pretty simple. A couple pieces of scrap glued together, then planed them up nice and square. Added another piece “cross grain” so it doesn’t just snap off, glued and screwed it on.
Then stuck it on the barn beam where the door shuts. You can see the old stop in the picture. It is basically a gate hinge. It has worn into the wood over the years and isn’t doing much anymore.
